Ready Biodegradability Certification

As of June 2021, Minus Works' Plant-Based Refrigerant Gel (a formulation called "P1" internally) has been certified Readily Biodegradable by RespirTek Inc., an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified bioenvironmental laboratory. RespirTek has conducted biodegradability testing in accordance with OECD 301B.

The results of the testing conclude that 100% of the Refrigerant Gel will biodegrade within a 28 day period after being subjected to an aerobic environment (oxygen present), with the majority of the degradation occuring in the first 10 days. 

This product's ability to rapidly biodegrade is a critical sustainability feature that has important implications on landfill.
